Linda Minson Receives Course Leader Award

Linda Minson, Marketing and Communication Chair for the Kansas City CPCU Society Chapter, has been selected by The Institutes to receive a 2016 Course Leader Award.  Linda will receive the Silver Level Award for teaching 5 or more qualifying courses over the years.  She will receive a Course Leader Award certificate, a congratulatory letter, and a laptop bag from The Institutes.

Linda, congratulations on receiving this award, and thanks for your service as a leader for various insurance courses!

Joan Dostal is Honored

Joan Dostal, who served as Executive Director of the Kansas City CPCU Society Chapter for 12 years, was recently honored at the chapter's Insurance Festival.  Ron Hamilton, President of the Kansas City CPCU Society Chapter, presented a check and an engraved crystal plaque to Joan in recognition of her service as Executive Director.  Joan has accepted an underwriting position with GenRe and submitted her resignation as Executive Director.  Ron Hamilton said "Her consistent professionalism, flawless execution and institutional knowledge has served us well and made us succeed as a chapter.

Kansas City Chapter Exceeds New Designee Challenge Goal

The Kansas City CPCU Society Chapter was recently recognized by The Institutes for exceeding the chapter's goal in the 2016 New Designee Challenge. The chapter had a goal of recruiting more than ten new designees in the Kansas City area by July 31, 2016 and retaining them as paid members of the CPCU Society.  The Kansas City Chapter rose to the challenge and exceeded the benchmark goal by 500 percent!  The chapter recruited and retained 8 new designees for 2015 and 52 new designees for 2016.  In recognition of this effort, The Institutes deposited $5,000 into the chapter's bank account.
