Board of Directors' Opportunities
If you are looking for a great way to enhance your insurance knowledge, develop professional leadership skills, and create a network of relationships with insurance professionals in the Kansas City area and across the country, consider applying for a KC CPCU Board of Directors position.
The Board is comprised of 18 members (9 voting members and 9 non-voting members) and will meet once a month in 2022. The meetings are expected to generally run from 12:00pm – 1:00pm via Zoom. The time commitment for most board positions is only a few hours a month.

10th Anniversary of Joplin Tornado
On May 22, 2011, the world drastically changed for our neighbors to the south. Just 150 miles from Kansas City, an EF5 tornado with wind speeds exceeding 200 mph traveled approximately 40 minutes on the ground for over 22 miles. It caused 161 fatalities, over 1,150 injuries, and damage to over 500 business and 7,500 residential structures. The tornado was the deadliest in the U.S. since 1950, causing $2.8 billion (2011 USD) in damages.
